MOAA members from across the nation will gather in the Washington, D.C., area in mid-April for a variety of events, to include our annual Advocacy in Action (AiA) on Capitol Hill. 

From this page, you can access registration materials for AiA-related events, as well as the 2024 Board of Directors Meeting, the Council Presidents’ Seminar, and MOAA's annual awards ceremony. Before clicking the registration button above, please review the following:

• The board meeting (and committee meetings) will take place at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, 2799 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington VA 22202. Please make all reservations through MOAA; do not make reservations or changes directly with the hotel.
• You will receive a confirmation email when your reservation is complete.
• Please be aware that participants attending the event may be photographed or recorded for MOAA products.

• 5-8 p.m.: Council Presidents Icebreaker and Buffet Dinner, Hyatt Regency EF Ballroom (B Level)
   

Tuesday, April 16 (Attire: Business)

• 7-9:30 a.m.: Buffet Breakfast, Hyatt Regency Washington Room and Regency Pre-Function (B Level)
• 9:30-11:30 a.m.: Partner Presentations for Council Presidents, Washington Room (B Level)
• 11:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m.: Lunch Buffet, Washington Room and Regency Pre-Function (B Level)
• 1:30-3:30 p.m.: Advocacy in Action Preparation Training, Regency EF (B Level)
• 4-4:15 p.m.: Load Buses, Hotel Lobby (Main Entrance)
• 4:40-5:15 p.m.: Buses to Capitol Hill
• 5:15 p.m.-7:15 p.m.: MOAA Award Ceremony, Location TBA
• 7:30-8:15 p.m.: Buses to Hyatt Regency
• 8:30-10 p.m.: Refreshments, Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Room (Rooftop; Press "R" on Elevator) 
   

Wednesday, April 17 (Attire: Business)

• 6-7:30 a.m.: Buffet Breakfast, Hyatt Regency Washington Room (B Level)
• 7:30 a.m.: Load Buses, Depart for Capitol Hill
• 8:30 a.m.: Group Photo, Capitol Hill (Garfield Circle Area)
• 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.: Advocacy Appointments With Members of Congress, House and Senate office buildings
• 9 a.m.-3 p.m.: Break Room/MOAA Lounge at Top of the Hill (TOTH, 1 Constitution Ave., Washington, D.C.)
• 11 a.m.-2 p.m.: Lunch Service Available, Top of the Hill
• 3:30-4 p.m.: Buses Depart for Hyatt Regency, Top of the Hill and Peace Circle (100 Pennsylvania Ave. SW)
• 6-9 p.m.: Advocacy in Action Dinner, Regency EF (B Level). Guest Speaker: Rep. Chrissy Houlahan (D-Pa.)
   

Thursday, April 18 (Attire: Casual)

• 6-8:30 a.m.: Buffet Breakfast, Hyatt Regency Washington Room (B Level)
• 7-8:15 a.m.: Council Presidents Only Breakfast, Hyatt Regency Jefferson Room (Third Level)
• 7:30-8:30 a.m.: Surviving Spouse Advisory Breakfast with President/CEO, Hyatt Regency Kennedy Room (Third Level)
• 9 a.m.-4 p.m.: Council Presidents Seminar, Regency EF (B Level). Event includes President/CEO Opening Remarks, Vice President panel, Lunch break (11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.), Communications Awards/Levels of Excellence presentations and photos
